The WRL is a 17" inch bungee lanyard designed to work in unison with your rifle sling setup. When your rifle is slung onto your back or side, the WRL is used to provide additional retention, securing your weapon for the moments you need to go completely hands-free (Such as , fast roping, administering first aid or TCCC interventions, carrying casualties, etc). When fully stretched the WRL is 25" long.
The Lanyard is secured on the one end by girth hitching the lanyard through the built in loop; this can simply be tied onto any MOLLE row. Furthermore, the opposite end includes a male and female buckle that can easily be attached to any row of MOLLE.
This device is not intended for use to replace the tactical applications of a rifle sling, and should only be used in circumstances where securing a weapon to go hands-free is safely feasible.
